Basilio is an experienced investment and finance professional with over a decade of expertise in private equity, investment advisory, portfolio management, and risk across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Asian region. He is passionate about deploying capital into sustainable, impact-driven businesses and strengthening institutions through rigorous financial analysis and strategic advisory.
He brings deep experience spanning financial services, water and climate infrastructure, renewable energy, agribusiness, fintech, and real estate. Basilio has led deal origination, valuation, financial modeling, due diligence, restructuring, and portfolio monitoring for both early-stage and growth investments. Prior to and alongside his role at KIFFWA, he has advised banks, VC/PE funds, and development-focused investors on acquisitions, recapitalizations, and value creation initiatives.
Basilio holds a Master of Economics (Finance) and a Bachelor of Economics & Finance from Kenyatta University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), a Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA), and a Certified Islamic Banker, and is a member of ICPAK and ICIFA.
