Ruth has over 15 years’ experience in WASH and water resources development and management in East Africa.
Prior to joining KIFFWA, Ruth worked as a consultant at Rural Focus Ltd, where she took lead in project management and successfully delivered on project objectives. Key achievements include successfully implementing 35+ rural water supply and sanitation projects sponsored by the World Bank under the Output Based Aid by transforming them to commercially viable water supply schemes that could attract private finance. She was also involved in design and construction supervision of various rural water supply infrastructure in Kenya. Ruth supported in operationalization of the Water Act 2002 and review of water sector regulations in line with water Act 2016.
Ruth holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering (Water Resources Engineering option) from Egerton University, Kenya and a postgraduate diploma in Groundwater Exploration, Water Resources Exploitation and Conservation from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. She is also a licensed NEMA Lead Expert and a member of Engineers Board of Kenya.
